ASSEMBLY BUILDING

The state Assembly building is located at the public garden in the hub of the city of Hyderabad. Hyderabad Legislative Assembly is the seat of the legislature of the state of Andhra Pradesh. It can be considered the heart and soul of Hyderabad, as this is where the power of state law and the laws are made and approved. Apart from the important function it serves, the Legislature also happens to be one of the most majestic of Hyderabad, on the outskirts of the royal palaces of the Nizams. As such it is easily one of the most imposing building in the city, and is becoming a popular destination for tourists and locals alike.
The building was erected by the people, in a way, the citizens of the Principality of Hyderabad raised the necessary funds to construct the building to commemorate the 40 anniversary of the sixth Nizam of Hyderabad, Nizam Mahboob Ali Khan in 1905 . It took eight years to complete, and in 1913 became the Hall of the People of the state. Architects who were commissioned to design the whole building were specially selected and opted for a scheme of all white, so that the aesthetic look, classic. The architects also fuses two styles to give your design: Persian and Rajasthan. The most-all is one of grandeur which belongs to a building where the power is. In 1980, the Assembly building in New was built next to the old Assembly, in order to accommodate the legislative offices of ministers and political parties. The new building was made to have the same architecture as the original, so it seemed the old building that was difficult to distinguish between the two.
The whole structure is surrounded by lush green fields, giving the whole place a lovely panoramic view. A 22-foot statue of Mahatma Gandhi in a meditation position is at the entrance of the Assembly, on a pedestal of two meters, where the words "My Life is My Message" are recorded. The statue was erected to remind law-makers to follow the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi.
