- 1) Bammera Potana (1450-1510) was born in Bammera, a village twenty miles away from Warangal, into a Niyogi Brahmin family. His father was Kesanna and his mother was Lakkamaba. He was considered to be a natural scholar without a teacher. Potana was a very polite gentleman. He was an agriculturist by occupation. Though he was a great scholar, he never hesitated to work in the agricultural fields.

16) Sri Yadagirigutta is a census town in Nalgonda district in the Indian state of A.P.In Tretayugam lived a sage by the name of Yadarishi, son of the great sage and Rishyasrunga Devi did penance in a cave with the blessings of Anjaneya (Hanuman) of this hill between Bhongir (Bhuvanagiri) and Raigiri Pleased with his deep devotion, Lord Narasimha, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu appeared before him in five different forms as Jwala, Yogananda, Gandabherunda, Ugra and Lakshminarasimha.
17)Kaloji Narayana Rao born on 9th September 1914 at Madikonda village of Warangal district A.P. Popularly known as Kaloji or Kalanna is a well known freedom fighter of India and a political activist of Telangana. He is known for his contributions in the social and literary.
18) Rangacharya Dasarathi born in 1928 in a small village in Telangana region of Hyderabad state ruled by the Nizam. From the beginning, he professed a great impatience with the autocratic rule of Nizam. Participated actively in the fight against the Nizam and once even was arrested and severely beaten by a police officer. He later went underground and continued their struggle.e won Padma Vibhushan.
